Banana Bread Ice Cream Cake
Sorry guy, this one is a secret family recipe but it’s too pretty to not share it with the world.
How to assemble:
2 round disks of banana bread(chilled, not frozen)
Homemade or store bought vanilla ice cream
Parchment or wax paper
—— take parchment paper and wrap around to form a circle but you want it to be larger than the cake, about 1/4inch bigger.
** this step is easier if you have a round cutter to keep the parchment paper stable.
—— lay one banana bread round inside the parchment paper and cover with ice cream, making sure it filled the spaces around the bread. Lay another round on top and cover with ice cream and smooth out the top.
—— I added crushed walnuts and brown sugar on top. Freeze for about 3 hours or longer to allow the ice cream to get firm.
